President's Welcome Address

On behalf of the executives of Nigerians in the Diaspora, Malaysian Chapter, NIDO-MY, I wish to welcome all of you to our website. We hope to do our best in making all of you have pleasurable experience as members.

On the general note, NIDO is established with the sole purpose of tapping into the talents of Nigerians in the Diaspora. This is with a view to improving all facets of developments in Nigeria. As a non-governmental and non-partisan organization, NIDO is devoid of any political, ethnic and religious affiliation. Thus, in this organisation, all Nigerians have a stake.

However, NIDO-MY has since its inception in 2004 being trying to establish itself by bringing together Nigerians that are resident in Malaysia and Brunei. This is to enable us achieve the greater objective of translating the Diaspora experience into developmental national changes in Nigeria.

Towards the accomplishment of this, a number of short and long term programmes have been designed and earnestly being implemented. Furthermore, NIDO-MY has been partnering and networking with other sister bodies in Europe, America and Asia so as to facilitate the attainment of our overall objectives.

NIDO-MY prioritises collaboration with its host country, Malaysia, in the educational and business sectors. This is in the bid to explore the benefits inherent in this mutual relationship, in facilitating the exchange of ideas and skills which will eventually culminate into positive educational and economic growth of our country.

This website therefore intends to serve as a medium through which we can share ideas that will expedite the attainment of our foretasted objectives. We thereby welcome constructive comments that are in consonance with our clearly defined objectives, mission and vision and our philosophical underpinning. Also, we kindly request all eligible candidates for the membership of this organization to register and contribute their quota towards achieving our goals.
